Also known as:

  • GSI, INC. Model 21 (1533-21-03-01)

Known issues:

  • ROM Corruption

This device is known for occasionally corrupting its configuration EEPROM. This may lead to the card malfunctioning or not being detected, or even the system refusing to boot. The 'BIOS/Firmware' section may have a dump of this EEPROM that can be used to restore functionality.

Description:

It is advised that users of this card back up the BIOS ROM before installing the card in a new system, as from experimentation it appears that the ROM's method of writing configuration parameters to itself can cause the ROM checksum to be written incorrectly. As an alternative, the XUB (XTIDE Universal BIOS) or Sergey's XT-FDC/Quad Floppy BIOS are recommended depending on use case.
